Mark Shurilla and The Greatest Hits.... For over twenty years Mark Shurilla And The Greatest Hits have been performing the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, and artists of The Winter Dance Party of 1959. They've performed in theaters, old ballrooms, at festivals, clubs and special occasions. This group is dedicated to performing the music of the ‘50’s & ‘60’s in the original high energy style the music was created in.
Mark Shurilla and The Greatest Hits also spice their shows with anecdotes of the lives, times, and places of the performers featured. This is not an impersonation act, rather a “dedication” to the spirit of the founders of Rock And Roll, The great “American” Pop Music. The performances have been likened to Hal Holbrook’s take on Mark Twain, where our performances “get inside” the music and times of Buddy Holly and his contemporaries, allowing the audience to feel the drama of what created this exciting, timeless music.
