Left On Sunset.... began as a few afternoon guitar jam sessions for Ken and Evan in the spring of
2001. What was intended to be a weekend
hobby quickly became something
more when the idea was suggested that
these jam sessions be expanded. A few
weeks later, Left On Sunset was born.
These sessions were a way for four guys
to indulge their love of playing live music.
The only thing that overshadowed their
passion for music was their desire to
share it with others. As more friends
started coming over to hang out and listen,
they realized that others might enjoy listening to their Saturday afternoon hobby
as well. A few private parties for friends and family led to other engagements at
graduations, block parties and corporate holiday parties. The band then decided it
was time to take their music to the public, and began playing the local bar scene.
After honing their skills with several gigs at a local bar, the band’s desire for other
opportunities continued to grow, and Left On Sunset is not one to pass up an opportunity.
From Summerfest, State Fair, Waukesha County Fair, to the growing list of local
bars like The Ale House, Kelly's Bleachers II, and Rooters Night Club, these guys are
always looking for a willing crowd to share their passion with.
The songs Left On Sunset covers run the
gamut from rock to punk to country, and all
things in between. Bands like Bon Jovi, Green
Day, the Goo Goo Dolls, the BoDeans and the
All American Rejects make their way into
their sets, and it is these same artists that
provide the influence for their original music.
Known for their wide variety of cover songs,
the catchy originals they mix into their sets,
and their energetic stage show, Left On Sunset
has entertained people of all ages and
musical appreciations. From weekend hobby to the local music scene, Left on Sunset
has continued to expand their musical horizons, meeting
new people, and making new fans and friends along the way.
For those about to rock, " We Salute You!"
